Clubs : |
|
The
young Sanskritian builds up a knowledge of an array of subjects through
various initiatives inside and outside the classroom - promoting cross -
curricular activities. There are clubs for Music (Indian and Western),
Science, Art and Crafts, Drama (English/Hindi), Debating (English/Hindi),
Home Science, School Magazine (English/Hindi), Dance (Folk, Classical),
Social Studies (History and Geography), Computers, Philately Club (stamps
collection) and Numismatology Club (coins collection) all of which thrive
on the enthusiasm of Mentors and Scholars alike. Membership to all clubs
is open only from Junior 3 (Level III) onwards.

Music Art & Drama : |
|
Each
Sanskritian is presented with the thrill of self- expression through the
agency of visual arts, music making and creative drama. The Music
Department imparts expert instruction in the playing of both Indian and
Western instruments - percussion and string. For singers, there is Indian
and Western group singing.
The hub of ingenuity - the Art and Craft studio is the place to be in -
to see young animated minds form master pieces from diverse materials -
oil paint, water color, dyes, wax, clay and even waste.
Suspense, melodrama, comedy, satire, musical, fantasy, pantomime - you
name it and the Scholars do it, besides set design, costume design and
stage management.

Sports, Games and Yoga : |
|
At Sanskriti........The School, the
Sanskritians learn to free their mind and appreciate the differentness of
individuals through a host of team games - cricket, football, hockey and
basketball to name a few.
To nurture individuality other sporting activities such as cross country
running, gymnastics, martial arts, table tennis, lawn tennis, badminton,
horse riding, swimming and air-rifle shooting are also available.
Inter-House and Inter-School games fixtures strengthen the mind, body and
spirit of young Sanksritians. Yoga is woven into our curriculum as an
extremely essential feature to help a child of the 21st Century cope with
the pressures of expectations-physically, mentally and spiritually open
only from Junior 3 (Level III) onwards.
Besides hobbies the school will frequently invite achievers from various
spheres of life such as, performers in arts/fine art, sports and from
corporate & esteemed institutions to share their experiences with our
students. These visitors, acting as role models, will inspire the
students to un-fold their hidden potential. |

Excursions and expeditions - bicycling and mountaineering- over
the weekends
and
during the vacations will be a regular part of co-curricular activities.

Socially Useful Productive Work : |
|
Boys and Girls of Junior 3 up are, on
Fridays, involved in different projects ascribed under Socially Useful
Productive Work. These include weather reporting, audio visual squad,
compost pits, first aid and rural development - services that help our
scholars organize and execute co-operative projects and acquire skills to
mobilize resources for community development.

To provide a focus of loyalty and a sense of
community the entire mix of day boarders and full boarders right from
Lower school through Junior school to Middle school have been distributed
into four houses named after the stellar constellations -

..the school provides a platform to its scholars to exhibit their
caliber in varied ways. |

school is associated with the Duke of Edinburgh Award, now known as
International Award for Young People ,(IAYP). |

The
certificate to run the Scouts and Bulbuls has been formally procured
and we are in the process of getting the N.C.C.(Air and Naval Wing
),introduced in the school. |

The
school is now a proud host to “SPIC MACAY” –Society for the promotion
of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth. Eminent maestros
in the field of classical music and dance have been giving
presentations in our school premises.
Ustad R.Fahimuddin Dagar
(classical
music Dhrupad) Ms. Mahuwa Shankar (Kathak exponent and disciple of
Pandit Birju Maharaj Ji),and Sh. Ghana Kanta Bohra and group(Assamese
Folk Dancer)have already enthralled our audience. |

In the
recently held Music and Dance competition at D.P.S Jaipur,.Sanskritians
excelled by bagging the All Round Runners-Up Trophy for the maximum
participation in all events. |

Our
school has commenced the Student Exchange Programme ,with our soccer
team playing a friendly match with the prestigious Bishop Cotton
School, Shimla, Delhi Public School, Jaipur and Pathways World
School, Gurgaon.This endeavor will facilitate healthy student
interactions. |

We in
the form of Trinity Music from London have adopted a formal system of
learning Western Music. This will provide a platform for all scholars
who are musically inclined to acquire a formal Certificate in music
from the world famous Trinity College of Music, London. For the
scholars interested in learning Hindustani music formally, we are also
seeking association from the renowned Bhatkande Institute of Music. |

All
club activities culminate in two exhibitions during one academic session.
This in turn will help the clubs to be more focused and productive.
