73 Independence Day

Independence Day is celebrated in our school with spirit and zeal befitting the occasion. The Program begins with the ceremonial raising of the national flag followed by the march past of platoons of various houses. To add flavor to the patriotic spirit the scholars take part in cultural programs. The program culminates with the distribution of sweets.

IH HINDI DECLAMATION

With the view to promote the skill of effective Public speaking, as part of leadership and oratory training being provided to scholars Sanskriti…The School, Inter House Hindi Declamation Competition was held on 2nd August for levels J3-J5 ,2019 & 5th August, 2019 for Levels M1-M3 , Following a brilliant performance given by eight participants representing the four Houses. Mr Vikas Awasthi , Ms Deshani and Mr Prem Sagar adjudged the performances for middle levels and Mr Prem Sagar,Ms Alpa & Ms Gayatri Chandwani for junior levels.. The students prepared for the competition under the tutelage of their respective House In charges and Mentors.

I H ENGLISH DECLAMATION ~J3-J5

To inculcate and promote the skills of effective public speaking, an Inter House declamation was organized on 2nd Aug’19 for the students of level J3-J5. The participants enthusiastically expressed their views on the topics:

  • All work and no play makes Jack a Dull Boy
  • Time and Time waits for none.
  • Think before You Speak
  • Practice makes a man perfect
  • A friend in need is a friend indeed.

The participants competed with a talented pool of contestants from all the houses and performed amazingly well with great confidence and enthusiasm.

Western Music workshop

On 30 july’19 a workshop was organized by Yamaha company of Electronic Keyboard and Electronic Drum. The aim of the workshop was to spread awareness about new instruments and new techniques in playing instruments. The workshop was conducted under the guidance Mr Ashwini Kumar. The performances by Mr Jude on electronic drum and Mr Dipanjan Chatterjee on Electronic keyboard was spellbinding and the scholars sat hypnotized as they both played these instruments. The workshop was inaugurated by the Director of the school Shri Mukesh Goyal and the Principal of the School Lt Col A K Tyagi. The workshop was appreciated by the Director of the school and he found it very informative and enlightening as these musicians not only played the music but also gave the history of the instruments.

Kargil Diwas~26th July

To mark the 20th anniversary of victory in ‘Operation Vijay’, the Kargil War – A special assembly was conducted by Level U2(X)A.“Kargil Vijay Diwas” is the day of pride for the Nation in general. It is the day to remember the martyrs, rejoice their sacrifices and strengthen the resolve of the armed forces to the cause of the nation. The armed forces after all draw their strength and motivation from the unflinching support of their countrymen.
To indoctrinate the spirit of patriotism and the values imparted by our Forces among young children the music department rendered a beautiful composition “Kar chale hum fida”. Vaidik Sharma narrated a poem to salute the sacrifices made by our soldiers. Vidhi Peswani of level U2 in her speech highlighted the sacrifices of the martyrs who lay down their lives for the security of their countrymen. The spirit of the Indian Armed forces inspires each and every citizen of India but for Army personnel it strikes a special chord. Lt Col A K Tyagi (Principal) shared his experiences in the assembly and enlightened the gathering about the commitment and courage showcased by our brave soldiers during the war.
The endeavor of these celebrations was to spread the message that it is the duty of each one of us to rejoice in the victories renew our gratitude towards armed forces and for their presence at our borders so that we may go about our lives uninterrupted.

Guru Purnima

To honour the teachers, a function was organized in the school on the occasion of Guru Purnima on 16nth July 2019 with intense zeal and zest. The initiative for the arrangement of the function was taken by the Student council and Music Department of our school. The program was hosted by the Vindhiya Singh and Meesha Naresh. The celebration had a graceful presence of honorable Lt Col A K Tyagi (Principal) , Dr Manoj Bharadwaj(Headmaster), Ms Alpana Singh Parmar(Headmistress).
The function began on a happy note with students singing the Guru Stuti and aarti, followed by a beautiful speech by Misha Naresh and Vindhiya Singh highlighting the importance of teachers.
Students also presented a musical rendition to showcase the role of gurus in fostering excellence and shaping the minds and characters of the young people in their charge.
A beautiful poem was recited by Khushi Kotwani highlighting the Guru’s role in shaping the students’ life. We were honored to have encouraging speech by the our principal describing the significance of guru and metamorphosis of the student -teacher relationship over the years.
Further, it is also a tradition in the school to felicitate the eminent educationists on the occasion with a shriphal.The event was thus truly significant in making each staff member feel special for her/his role in ensuring the all-round development and well-being of their Scholars. Truly, it is days like these that serve to keep alive the ‘Guru Shishya Parampara’ in the school!.

Foundation Day

16th Foundation Day of Sanskriti…The School was celebrated on 9th July, 2019 with great enthusiasm, fun and frolic. The celebration started with the songs sung by the students. Students from both junior and senior sections presented a colourful cultural show which was applauded by everyone. The energy and passion of the students was visible in the performances that they put up. Every corner of the school vibrated with enthusiasm. As part of the foundation day celebrations this year also the student council took oath. Eshaan Dutta and Rishika Bhalla have assumed the responsibilities of Head Boy and Head Girl for the Academic session 2019-2020
Like every year, Tree Plantation was done by all the levels.
The foundation day celebrations also witnessed the Blood Donation Camp organized by the school committee
The School’s Chairman, Shri Sitaram ji Goyal emphasized on the importance of team work and reiterated his call to rededicate one’s self to the organization’s interest
The Headmaster Dr Manoj Bhardwaj delivered a beautiful motivational talk. He gave special stress to self-motivation, dedication and learning to channelize the young energy into construction of positive body of work. He also gave thanks for the developments undertaken since the last Foundation Day celebration. These include our new D Block (Academic). This theme of refurbishment and renovation continues as the school is growing and is ready to be transformed into a new, cutting edge Education Centre.
The Celebration ended with high tea.

Essay writing competition

An english essay writing competition was held on 28th June, 2019 for the scholars of level J3-J5. The scholars were asked to write on the topic- “My Grandparents”(J3), “My Most Memorable Day”(J4), “My favourite Teacher”(J5).The essay was judged on the basis of the scholar’s vocabulary, creativity, content and presentation. The purpose of the competition was to encourage the scholars to enhance their thinking and writing skills. The essays were well written by the scholars.

Inter House Documentary

All the four houses ardently participated in the Inter house Documentary competition held for classes X and XII on the 11 May 2019.Each house was given a theme on which they had to capture the scenes:

  1. Sanskriti Times-A day of my school life
  2. My Goal-Role of school in attaining it
  3. Yoga-Healing the Mind, Body and Soul
  4. Sports-Mixed Blessings of Sports

The event became a platform to discuss the technicalities of video shooting and to be apprised of the simple message that documentaries can actually reflect, which otherwise remain confined to the four walls. Mrs Gunjan Kotwani and Mrs Archana Goyal adjudged the events and praised the efforts put in by the scholars.

Inter House Basket Ball/Swimming Tournament

Inter House Basket Ball Tournament and Swimming competitions for all houses were organized at Sanskriti..The School from 22nd to 27 th April, 2019 in which the teams of all the four houses participated with full energy, team spirit and harmony. The team members did not leave even a single stone unturned to beat their opponents and win laurels for their houses.

Mentor’s Workshop, 22nd June 2019

Broadening Horizons is a lifelong process. It is a way for people to assess their skills and qualities, consider their aims in life and set goals in order to realize and maximize their potential.
The workshop was conducted by Ms. Shivnetri Mudgal, a Psychologist. The foremost aim of this workshop was to apprise about techniques to increase concentration in the students, improve their communication skills and inculcate active learning skills in them. The talk was divided into three segments, i.e. bringing change in one self, understanding the needs of the scholars and various stages of life given by famous psychologist Eric Erickson. The workshop began with warm up sessions followed by many interesting activities and concluded with a message on self-development/improvement. It taught the teachers the importance of teamwork and having a positive attitude.
Principal, Lt Col A K Tyagi also spoke on the importance of understanding child psychology and how importance it is for a teacher to be path finder and motivator for a scholar.
It was an interactive workshop and beautifully marked the beginning of the session with zest and zeal.

Labour Day Celebration

Wednesday, May 1- LABOUR DAY CELEBRATION-The International Workers’ Day, also called as Labour Day, was celebrated at the school with full zeal.

“From field to field and desk to desk,

Your hard work is what makes the Nation best.”

Sanskriti Family is constantly on its toes to ensure children grow up to empathetic human beings who are high on emotional quotient. The School observed Labour day celebrations to inculcate respect for all the members of society and value them for the contribution they make to create communication worth living. The function started with a Special Assembly wherein the scholars of Class u2 and u4 Shruti Manya and Eshan Dutta apprised everyone with the history and the significance of May Day. The children also highlighted the importance of helpers and elaborated about the different ways in which it is celebrated all over the world.

Principal Col A.K Tyagi expressed gratitude towards the School support staff and reiterated the fact that their contribution is an important aspect of their life. Gleeful faces and streams of thank you cards all set to celebrate the unsung pillars of the School. The Students also expressed their gratitude towards them by thanking and applauding them for their support.

Inter House Display Board Competition

All the four houses participated enthusiastically in the Inter-House Display Board Competition held for students held on May 04, 2019. The theme for this academic year was ” Elements of Life – Earth, Wind, Water & Fire”. The participants put all their efforts and creativity into the sketches and came up with innovative and out -of -the box ideas.

One member per house elucidated upon and described the hidden meanings that the display portrayed to the best of their creativity and ingenuity. The event was judged by the Col A K Tyagi (Principal), Dr Manoj Bharadwaj (Headmaster) and Mr Dinesh Sharma. Pegasus and Cygnus House secured the first position, followed by Orion House and Hercules who shared the second position. The students and judges alike were highly impressed by the exhibits drawn by all the participants
